Battlefield 2142 is a game which takes you ahead in 22nd century wherein the two military superpowers named and Pan Association Coalition (PAC) battle for their survival. It is a first person shooter game and contributes to the fourth series of the battlefield series. The game has been developed by Digital Illusions CE.

Some of the features of this game are similar to the predecessor, however, an added benefit is the game gives 64 players on a server or a maximum of 16 players in way of single player against bots in the way conquest. It has been designed primarily for multiplayer game play. The other advantage of Battlefield 2142 is that it has certain weapons and vehicles. One can also unlock the items as per their choice when they reach a certain rank instead of buying the item. A total of ten maps are available in Battlefield 2142 and three new ones have been picked up from the Northern booster pack.

Battlefield 2142 offers 4 different playable kits. Each kit has different weapons and equipment that are unique to this kit. Each kit contains a weapon, weapon secondary, and knife (with the knife also to the different Battlefield 2, as when a player is killed with a knife, the killer is the player that labels of dog). In battlefield 2142 every time a player kills using the knife, he is granted dog tags. One can easily modify the games as per their taste, and have been customized so that the player can win more unlocks using the kit, making the player productivity more effective.

The players can upgrade their soldier’s helmet by unlocking. Each class has two unlockable weapons and a liability to unlock the upgrades with different helmets has different functions. However, the soldier’s helmet can be shared with the fellow squad mates as well. Assault, Reacon, Engineer and support are the different classes available on the Battlefield 2142. The Assault kit in Battlefield 2142 has been inspired from and is a combination of the Assault and Medic classes from the previous series of Battlefield. The rifles Assault with rocket unlockable and shot gun add-ons can be termed as the main weapons of the assault classes. The advanced first aid kit, smoke grenades to the detection and the defibrillator to revive the fallen comrades are some of the other unlocks available on battlefield 2142.

The Assault kit in this game has been inspired from and is a combination of the sniper Special Forces and classes of Battlefield 2. Sniper rifles are their main weapons and one can also make use of the unlockable carbine if there is any encounters close range.

The Engineer kit in this game has been inspired from and is combined with the Engineer kit in Battlefield 2142.

The Support kit in Battlefield 2142 is basically the same from the Support class of Battlefield 2, and Battlefield 2142’s ten maps include three new maps included in the Northern Strike booster pack.
